About Me

My name is Hazel and I’m a fully qualified, experienced Accredited Counsellor with over 12 years’ experience helping adults, adolescents, couples and groups in private practice, in colleges and in charity settings.

I believe in helping my clients understand the reasons behind their behaviours and issues so that they can work through them and become more content and balanced people.

I’m a fully trained member of the BACP and my 12 years’ experience has been supplemented with training in Online and Telephone Counselling and Coaching Skills.

I am a person-centred counsellor – which means I listen to your problems and work to understand your world from your point of view. Together we explore why you think and behave the way you do, and through that understanding relationship, work together to help you to become the person that you want to be. As we work together, I aim, as your counsellor, to allow you to understand, accept and deal with the issues which have been holding you back, and in doing so reach a new level of self-awareness and self-acceptance. I believe that through creating an atmosphere of trust, by not judging you, and by being authentic, that I can help you with whatever is upsetting or angering you. I find that many clients feel very differently after the first few weeks, and I can use my coaching to give you practical tips to allow change and coping strategies to move on.
